  1. On the bottom drawing: It's very clean and the shape is well done. The shading could be more obvious in some places but overall great job!

  4. Carolyn, you did a great job showing line variation in the first drawing, especially on the netting part. The object originally didn't have much of a 3-dimensional form, but you did good at accurately portraying the object that you were trying to draw. The second drawing is also very accurate. You could maybe make the lines lighter in some areas to help add more dimension. Overall, very good job!

  5. I laughed when I saw the fly swatter. Very unique subject and an awesome job depicting it. Both are great and very tangable looking.

  7. Carolyn, I agree that the fly swatter is awesome. I especially like the twists on the handle -- very realistic. The bottom drawing does not appear as three-dimensional as the fly swatter, but your lines are so precise. Great job! Connie

  8. It's difficult to achieve 3D form with flat objects (my first objects were flat as well) but you did really well. The metal pieces that appear beneath the mesh create depth. Maybe choose more 3d objects and ones that are a bit larger?

  9. Great comments. Yes, I agree -- try to choose objects that are more 3D. The fly swatter is excellent and very well detailed, and both look accurate. You could have some lighter lines in the 2nd drawing, which would help make it look a little more 3 dimensional. Good work, Carolyn! - Deb Karpman
