Carolyn! I am more than impressed! The variations of dark and light on the shadow below the bottle is fantastic! I had a difficult time with shadows as well! I think it's the crosshatching -- it's hard to make it look like a shadow and not an extension of the subject. You did a phenominal job - the accuracy and detail is great -- the way you can see the fingers through the bottle and the middle of the glass shows the wine pouring in -- AMAZING!! Connie
Carolyn, Very nice drawing. Good composition and I'm glad you went for it with taking the risk of doing something different. I agree about the shadow...you might achieve a better result with stippling, which is putting down dots to make the shadow. That way, it differentiates it from your actual objects. You did a great job with both the liquid and also seeing your hand through the back of the glass..that really works. Good job! Deb
Wow. The liquid pouring out of the bottle is great! I can't draw hands so kudos! Maybe work on the shadow but everything looks great!

Thanks Riley, The shadow was harder than the rest of the picture. Not sure why, but it just would not work...the more I tried the worse it got:(
