  2. Wow Connie you did an amazing job! You definitely have a good understanding of cross hatching. You did a great job transitioning from dark to light sections and accurately portraying the objects that you were drawing.

  3. This is phenomenal...really...phenomenal! The detail and shading is so 3-D. Cross hatching is very difficult, but your transitions and line directions make this drawing pop. Can't wait to see more. Great job.

  5. Connie, Excellent work. Much better also with that shadow on the left hand side, it balances out the drawing nicely. Great line quality and contrast. For the shadows, you might consider doing some stippling if the shadows were giving you trouble. That's when you put really small dots instead of lines...it builds up slowly and takes a long time, but it differentiates it from the other objects. Just a thought..I don't think it's a problem in this but I figured I'd mention that it's just another way to handle shadows. Composition is good too! Great work. Deb
